Ignored Transaction
When you ignore a transaction, you tell Roo to leave it out of your budget. Roo stops counting it, so it does not change your plan or your pouches.
Use this only for mistakes your bank made, like a duplicate charge or a bank error. Ignore is a tool for fixing bank mistakes, not for hiding real spending. If you hide spending you really made, your budget and your balances will be wrong.
Roo already removes many duplicate charges on its own. You can read about that on the Deleted Transactions page. Ignore is for the ones you catch that Roo did not.
If the transaction is still pending, Roo suggests you wait until it posts. Pending amounts can still change or drop off, so it is better to let it finish first.
How to ignore a transaction
- Go to the Roo Money tab and find the card for the transaction you want to ignore.
- Tap the three dots (…) on the card.
- Tap Mark as Duplicate / Ignored.
- Tap Ignore to confirm. If the transaction is still pending, Roo offers Wait Until Posted instead.
How to find your previously ignored transactions
- Go to the Overview tab.
- Scroll down to the Search Transactions widget.
- Tap Advanced Filters.
- Turn off every transaction type except Ignored.
- Use the other filters to narrow your search if you need to.
